North Platte River Photos

Nestled in the Northgate Wilderness Area, encompassing northern Colorado and crossing the border into southern Wyoming, the North Platte River is well known for the seclusion and scenery it provides rafters. This section of river will not leave thrill-seekers empty handed however, as it still contains some challenging class III-IV whitewater rapids like Cowpie, Narrow Falls, and Stovepipe. In addition to taking on these rapids, you’ll enjoy beautiful sights like lush canyon forests, spiraling rock formations, gorgeous cliffs, and the rolling sage-covered hill country of Southern Wyoming. Oftentimes our guests get the rare opportunity to see eagles, antelope, bear, moose, coyote, elk and deer along the river. All summer long you’ll be able to enjoy some of the best fishing out there as trout are plentiful in this section of the North Platte River. If you’re in the mood to completely control your destiny, we bring along duckies (inflatable one or two person kayaks) allowing you to independently charter your course
