Upper Colorado River Photos

Just southwest of Kremmling, our journey along the Upper Colorado River begins with Little Gore Canyon where steep canyon walls make the river more narrow creating fun, bouncy wave train rapids like Needle Eye. If you’re new to whitewater rafting or looking for a family friendly trip, the Upper Colorado River is the way to go—we can accommodate rafters as young as 4 years old as the rapids are mild, reaching class II levels at their highest. Since the water is gentler on the Upper Colorado River we bring duckies (inflatable one or two person kayaks) so you can cruise at your own pace and take full control of your whitewater rafting adventure. The scenery provides a great contrast of dramatic canyons and lush rolling hills. Oftentimes we see bald eagles as they like to nest in this part of Colorado. This trip also features some very unique detours along the river. You’ll get the chance to stop for a soak at naturally occurring hot springs giving you a relaxing break from paddling. We also set time aside to eddy out and take a quick hike to examine perfectly preserved fossilized dinosaur tracks.
