Keystone, Colorado Vacation: A History of Fun.

Keystone was founded in 1970 by Max Dercum and his wife Edna, with help from Bill and Jane Bergman. Thanks to their tireless dedication, today a Keystone vacation is one of the most popular of all Colorado trips.

While originally designed as a winter ski destination, today in Keystone, rafting is a very popular summer activity. But no matter what you decide to do on your Keystone vacation, the vibe here is always the same: family, friends and fun.

The resort now features three vibrant villages filled with shops, bars, restaurants and two world-class golf courses, making your Keystone vacation one you’ll be talking about for years to come.

Of course, being a whitewater rafting company, we believe that whenever you visit Keystone, rafting should be the first thing on your list. But even if it moves down to second or third, we’ll understand. After all, with so many exciting things to see and do, it’s hard to fit everything into your Keystone vacation.

In Summer, Keystone and Summit County are Above and Beyond.

On your Keystone, Colorado vacation, be sure to visit the many other popular vacation towns and destinations in Summit County, including Breckenridge, Silverthorne, Dillon, Frisco, Denver, Colorado Springs, Buena Vista and Salida.

Of course, in summer, Keystone is also a great place to relax and take it easy. That’s because Keystone and Summit County are home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. And a Keystone vacation is your chance to see it all. But remember to take the altitude into consideration on your Keystone vacation: take it easy on your first day or two, and be sure to drink plenty of water. It’s the best way to make sure you enjoy every minute of your Keystone vacation.
