A Perfect Rafting Choice for Families with Small Children

Mild water rafting on the Arkansas River The Arkansas River attracts people looking for a wide range of rafting excitement. The Splash-N-Dash trip on the Arkansas is perfect if you are looking for fast moving water with mild bouncy waves. Most of our guests choose this section to introduce small children, elderly grandparents and timid adults to the joy of rafting and the beauty of Colorado’s high mountains. Stunning views of 14,000 foot peaks from this cottonwood lined bit of heaven will take your breath away.

This trip begins at our centrally located office in our beautiful riverside picnic area. Kid-friendly guides know how to keep children happy and will take charge. Following a short walk to your raft that is already in the water and ready to go, you will learn how to hold on and perhaps even help paddle the raft.

This trip ends at the starting point of the Browns Canyon Half Day Trip. If you have group members interested in continuing their trip and experiencing some of the best whitewater in the world, consider having that part of your group stay in the raft on our Splash-N-Dash Extended ½ Day Trip. Less adventuresome rafters may ride back to our office in the shuttle van. Combining these two trips keeps the whole family happy by keeping young children and seniors engaged and giving the older kids and whitewater hungry grownups the adventure they seek.
