Salt River White Water Rafting Overnight Vacation

Experience Arizona’s Salt River Canyon on a Whitewater River Rafting Weekend

Salt River Rafting 2 Day2 Day Upper Canyon Rafting Trip

Multi-day Salt River trips provide an opportunity for a total escape. Experience world-class whitewater, fascinating geology, giant Saguaro cactus, Indian ruins, and desert canyons carpeted in Sonoran Desert wildflowers. The Salt River Canyon is truly a hidden treasure of the southwest.

The 2 Day Upper Canyon trip covers the Salt River Canyon Full-Day section on Day 1 and repeats the same section on Day 2. We stay at our established riverside beach camp where we have chemical toilets, a kitchen trailer, and a campfire ring. Join our other guides around the campfire in the evening as this is the same campsite where our full-time guide staff lives for the season. This road accessible campsite offers a few more of the comforts of home than our wilderness trips.

If you would rather travel farther and deeper into the grandeur of the Salt River Canyon Wilderness, consider joining a Two-day Expedition, Three-day Wilderness or Five-day Wilderness trip. Accessible only by raft, the remote and beautiful Goosenecks and Jumpoff Canyon offer abundant riverside beach campsites. Hear and feel the roar of exciting class IV rapids such as Quartzite Falls, Black Rock, The Maze, and Corkscrew in this wilderness section.

The Salt River is one of the most unique rivers in the country. Its location on the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau is at the crossroads of mountain and desert ecosystems, resulting in a striking variety of plant, animal and bird life. Several side canyon hikes lead to oasis-like microhabitats that are a delight to explore.

This trip is only offered to groups of 10 or more.
